Before Lockdown the group met fortnightly except during the school holidays when it was weekly. During Lockdown we had weekly Zoom meetings. It was a time of learning Zoom to start with and we all got a bit more techie! Since then we have continued having weekly Friday morning meetings, alternating between Claire’s cakes and our normal venue - St Lukes church. The latter has put their prices up and normal meeting is two hours - £30. After many group meetings and a lot of deliberation, the group decided to change the venue to just Claires Cakes every Friday 10-12 { situated in the Wallsend Forum } If there is a subject that we need to know more about we invite a specialist speaker and book a room at Voda. Also situated in central Wallsend. Our group like to just have time to relax and support each other. We enjoy meeting and welcoming new Carers, from all areas and all different care orders. If you are new to becoming a Carer. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch so you don’t walk in alone. You will find yourself being made very welcome, we all remember what an amazing relief it was find a group just for Kinship Carers. No judgement Just ordinary people, looking out for each other. Don’t struggle alone.
